The Body Corporate for Admiralty Quays takes the risk of fire seriously. The safety of residents are paramount. For this purpose Admiralty Quays have a comprehensive Fire Management Plan.


All fire fighting equipment are maintained to a high standard by Spectrum Fire.


In case of a fire there are several Fire Wardens who will ensure residents are safely evacuated from the building.


For your own safety please read the Fire Management Plan below. It is good practice to read the Fire Management Plan every twelve months to ensure you are up to date with the latest procedures and know what to do when a fire occurs.



When you receive visitors, ensure they know how to evacuate the building in case of an emergency. Evacuation diagrams are located on each floor. A copy of the typical evacuation diagram can be viewed here>>


Please do not be complacent about the risk of fire. There are lots and lots of information available to educate yourself about the risk of fire and the use of firefighting equipment.

Q: When the fire alarm goes whoop, whoop do I have to evacuate?


A: No, you don't have to evacuate, but you must get ready to do so.


Q: So when do I have to evacuate then?


A: When you hear an automated voice announcing "evacuate the building" you must evacuate.


Q: Can I simply shelter in the stairwell without having to actaully go down to the assembly area?


A: No. While the stairwell is a safe haven for a short period, it will perish in a large fire.


Q: Where is the assembly point?


A: The assembly point is in Macrossan street in front of the building.


Q: Who is the Fire Warden for my floor?


A: Please read the Fire Management Plan for this information.


Q: Will the Fire Brigade be automatically called if the smoke detector in my aparment goes off?


A: No, the smoke detectors inside the apartments are not linked to the Fire Brigade. However, smoke detectors in the lobby hallways are connected to the Fire Brigade.
